HEART SAVER Heartsaver CPR AED - Classroom
Course Overview:
Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Audience:
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
Certification:

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-INITIAL Basic Life Support (BLS) Initial - Classroom
Course Overview:
The course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Our 1 to 1 manikin to student ratio increases the amount of time spent on actual skills, resulting in enhanced retention. This is the course required by healthcare facilities in order to acquire and maintain employment.
Audience:
Healthcare providers who have never taken CPR before or who do not meet the pre-requisites for the BLS Renewal class.
Certification:
Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card that is valid for two years.

Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who have taken a BLS course before and need to renew their certification. Healthcare providers must have an understanding on how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, before registering for this course. Healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists must have a AHA BLS card to retain there licensure and retain employment.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT-PREP
Audience: New or experienced nurses beginning specialization in cardiac procedures, student nurses, Emergency Room Technicians, Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, and other medical professionals who are seeking an introduction to Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Techniques.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT-INITIAL
Audience: New or experienced nurses beginning specialization in cardiac procedures, student nurses, Emergency Room Technicians, Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapist and other medical professionals who are seeking an introduction to Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Techniques.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT-RENEWAL
Audience: For emergency, intensive care, or critical care healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.

If you are getting trained for the first time you will need to attend the two day class. Please click here. Providers enrolling in the ACLS provider renewal course are required to be proficient in the following:


• Performing BLS CPR skills using 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC
• Reading and interpreting ECGs
• Understanding ACLS drugs

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT-INITIAL
Audience: New or experienced nurses beginning specialization in cardiac procedures, student nurses, Emergency Room Technicians, Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapist and other medical professionals who are seeking an introduction to Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Techniques.For pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies. The participant in this course is a healthcare provider based in a practice setting that requires PALS knowledge and skills as a condition of employment. The choice of enrollment option is determined by proficiency in the subject matter. The participant is required to self assess their knowledge and skills at time of registration according to the criteria defined below.


• Performing BLS CPR skills using the most recent American Heart Association Guidelines
• Reading and interpreting ECGs
• Understanding PALS pharmacology
